Lt. Gen. (USAF, Ret) John H. Campbell serves as Chairman of Iridium’s Government Advisory Board, and was formerly the executive vice president, government programs at Iridium. Previously, General Campbell served as principal, defense and intelligence at Applied Research Associates (ARA). In 2006, he retired from a 32-year career in the U.S. Air Force where he served in a variety of operational and staff assignments worldwide, including vice director of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and the first commander of the Joint Task Force - Computer Network Defense. General Campbell is the recipient of numerous military and intelligence community awards, including the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit and the Air Medal. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master of business administration from the University of Kentucky.
