Alvin B. Krongard previously served as a member of the Iridium board of directors for almost two decades, including as a member of the board's compensation committee. Krongard previously held the positions of chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors of Alex. Brown Incorporated (Alex. Brown), an investment banking firm; vice chairman of the board of directors of Bankers Trust Company N.A.; and other financial industry posts. He served as counselor to the director of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and was a member of the board of directors of PHH Corporation. He currently serves on the board of directors of Under Armour, Inc., and as vice chairman of The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation. Krongard received a bachelor's degree with honors from Princeton University and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Maryland School of Law.
